Opportunity: Capture a Giant This Summer

Save the Redwoods League, a member of the Open Space Council, challenges park visitors throughout the United States to capture every angle of the redwood forest, from the smallest critters inhabiting the forest floor to the lofty tree canopy, for a chance to win prizes. Get your chance to win outdoor gear, a stay in an historic redwood country inn and more!

Enter your photos that capture all parts of the redwood ecosystem, from sorrel and lichens, to deer and elk, to the trees themselves. Photos of friends and family enjoying the forest also are welcome.

• 1st prize: A one-day ecotour for two in Big Sur, California, provided by Central Coast Outdoors. Value: $318
• 2nd prize: A one-night stay at the historic Benbow Inn in Garberville, California. Value: $250
• 3rd prize: A pair of environmentally friendly Nikon binoculars. Value: $225

The League will select 12 finalists, and public voting will determine the contest winners.
