Here's a link to our e-news August issue devoted to the 4th Annual Mare Faire, a celebration of the "original" Island, that is before the Navy filled almost 5,000 acres surrounding it over 150 years. There are more than 30 guided history and nature outings this weekend and we are showing Green Fire:Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for our Time Saturday evening at our Visitors Center at 7om.
